Calling All Spiders, to your Web Site
Hi, Had my new Web Site Spidered and cached by Google within two days of my web site going live, by using the Google smiley face voting button which they have on their toolbar. I had no links in or out from my web site at the time. I also had the same experience after adding a few more pages and giving myself a vote :-) on each of the new pages using their voting tool. Sure enough, along came a spider. Google are all about customer satisfaction, so it stands to reason that if a member of the public uses their voting tool they will investigate it. After all, it is free unbiased market research data to them. From the most important and relevant source there is to them, which is you, the customer. So if you give the thumbs up they have a look to see if they can work out what they did right so that they may do it more often, which in turn improves the quality of their service. So vote for your favorite sites. Plus it is an easy way to get noticed quickly if you have a new web site or an old one that has had no spiders around for a while and is feeling left out of the over all web. Just make sure that you have some spider food ready before you call them. :-)
